2000 Readiness Disclosure
The information provided herein about Year 2000
compliance (the "Information") of the listed standard
products (the "Products") constitutes a Year 2000
Readiness Disclosure for purposes of the Year 2000 Information
and Readiness Disclosure Act of 1998 (the "Act"), and
is provided for the sole purpose of assisting users of Pacific
Scientific Instruments Company ("PSI") Products to plan
for the transition to the year 2000. All prior statements and
warranties made by PSI or its agents and representatives relating
to Year 2000 readiness of PSIs Products and business
operations are hereby expressly withdrawn and superseded by this
Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure Statement.
PSIs Year 2000 testing is a test of certain basic calculations and infrastructure functions for the Year 2000. Detailed descriptions of the procedures performed in this testing are available from PSI. All Information provided herein is updated regularly and is subject to change without notice. Any statements made to you by PSI and contained herein in the course of providing Year 2000 information are subject to the Act. In case of a dispute this Act may reduce your legal rights regarding the use of any such statements.
The Information is provided "as is," and does not affect or enlarge any warranties, exclusions, limitations of liability, or other terms and conditions of sale applicable to PSI equipment. PSI makes no representation as to the accuracy or completeness of the Information and disclaims any and all warranties, express, implied, and statutory, including but not limited to any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Moreover, PSI does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the Information in terms of its correctness, accuracy, reliability, or otherwise. The Met One Year 2000 Product Test Plan (Doc. #QAP-127) is based on and referenced to the HIAC Year 2000 Product Test Plan (Doc. #980004) for all functional tests. Note: This document will be updated weekly as products are certified, or as products are added to the testing queue. All certified instruments have Test Data sheets from their resultant testing that are kept on file by the Year 2000 Coordinator in the Quality Department.
Customers who own Dell or Gateway computers can validate their Year 2000 computer hardware compliance by logging on to www.dell.com or www.gateway.com. Locate the Y2K section and drive through the menus. In addition to hardware validation there is an abundance of Year 2000 technical literature available at these web-sites which will help educate our customers as well as ourselves.
