Model 5813 High Flow Remote Airborne Particle Counters
0,3µ
minimum threshold A new addition to Met One's remote counter family provides the high flow of 1 cfm (28,3 lpm) plus the sensitivity of 0,3 microns. For years, the Met One 4800 family has provided remote sensors at 0,1 cfm for continuous monitoring at an economical cost. Now, with a high flow and sensitivity, the Model 5813 will provide additional sensitivity for continuous monitoring of critical areas. Remote counters are used in conjunction with a Facility Monitoring System (FMS) to provide 24-hour monitoring of critical areas. This means it is possible to provide immediate operator feedback concerning particle events, thus improving Production efficiency and minimizing down-time and waste. The 5813 uses RS-485 serial communications, allowing daisy-chained wiring between particle counters using only a single pair of wires. This RS-485 cable can be up to 1500 meters (4500 feet) from the computer to the last counter. A user-programmed alarm contact is provided. When high counts trigger an alarm, the LED on the counter flashes and an alarm signal is set at the connector. The alarm will automatically reset at the beginning of the next count cycle. Flow control is by critical orifice. The sensor IS supplied with an RS-485 output signal that can transmit for 4,000 feet (1500 meters). Power LED illuminates when counter is powered. Calibrate LED illuminates when sensor calibration needs checking and flashes when the count exceeds the alarm level.
